Nestlé, the largest food and beverage company in the world, has been active in Iran for over 17 years, quietly establishing its business, enhancing local production, and providing quality nutrition to the society. In 2016, Nestlé Iran decided to pursue professional two-way communications with the local society and selected PGt as its exclusive PR and communications agency for all Nestlé Iran corporate communications. PGt has been Nestlé Iran’s corporate marketing, public relations, and communications agency ever since.
As part of its efforts to enhance the quality of life and contribute to a healthier future, Nestlé Iran launched the RISE project, which invested millions to improve the quality of milk produced in the country. PGt played a key role in organizing a large-scale corporate event for the launch, handling the digital and PR communications strategy, including media relations, agenda setting, and planning and management of the event. With a focus on local media and other important stakeholders, PGt successfully gathered representatives from over 70% of the country’s tier 1 media.
The event, titled “Nestlé in Society: Creating Shared Value in the Islamic Republic of Iran,” aimed to showcase Nestlé’s efforts and investments in the RISE project and reduce the country’s need for imports. The event featured a performance by one of Iran’s top composers, Fardin Khalatbari, and his band, Zasta.
Invitations were sent to high-ranking government officials, Swiss & French diplomats, and foreign and local CEOs of various companies and dairy farms, resulting in over 150 guests in attendance, including the Swiss Ambassador to Iran, Mr. Markus Leitner. The event garnered positive media coverage, with over 20 feature articles published in Iran’s most prestigious media.
PGt’s digital team uploaded pre- and post-event stories to Nestlé Iran’s Instagram page, resulting in a significant increase in engagement and recognition for Nestlé’s CSR and CSV projects throughout Iran.
